Course still planned for 30 March, Time changed to 3 hour blocks of instruction, 0900-1600.
Lunch period change from 2 hours to 1 hour, due to proximity of restaurants. We've pretty much decided that a McDonald's, Subway, and a few smaller joints in town we can recommend are plenty. Price is still $40. WE WILL BE COVERING SOME DRY WORK IN THE SECOND SEMINAR TO ADDRESS CERTAIN MARKSMANSHIP ISSUES AND THE DRAW! So bring your carry rig and be prepared to have it cleared out and taped up (we use masking tape... Chamber flags are stupid since they interfere with manipulations and sight pictures but training barrels like the BladeTech offering are cool.) IAW TFTG SOP! If you are coming from more than 2 hours out, CONTACT US and we'll knock 10 bucks off for you. Google Maps has the Cave/HQ address listed and we have a whole field available for parking right behind the training field, directions are simple and will be given to anyone who Contacts Us for registration information. PAYMENT UP FRONT UPON ARRIVAL IS AUTHORIZED. Hope to see everyone there! V/R CMI K. Smith President, TFTG Ladies and gents, be sure to check out the Chun Moo USA Hapkido Conference in Asheville, NC 3 and 4 May 2013 if you're in the area. Can't beat the price for the training here! Come see us! ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS: This event DOES qualify for your yearly training requirement with us! Individuals are encouraged to bring conventional protective gear for martial arts training. Asheville is a pretty fun town and the training will of course be top notch. CMI Smith will be covering the TFTG Ground Combat Survival Module. Specific event schedule is TBD. Point of Contact: TFTG VP/Chun Moo Hapkido USA President and Headmaster Jason Landaas. (910)420-4058 [email protected] We are putting together a short, multi-discipline seminar at Total Force Training Group Headquarters consisting of a Two Hour Basic Combatives Tactics Period of Instruction and a Two Hour Third-Party Security POI. A 2-hour lunch break will occur from 1200-1400. CMI Landaas is teaching a 2 hour period of instruction on our Basic Combatives which are essential for later TFTG training and CMI Smith will be teaching a 2 hour POI on Third-Party Security, perfect for individuals with Concealed Carry Permits who may know how to use their firearm but has not been shown how to expeditiously and safely move a third-party they intend to secure out of the line-of-fire.
1000-1200 Basic Combatives Training Lead Instructor: Jason Landaas, Chief Master Instructor Deputy Instructor(s): Kenny Smith, Chief Master Instructor Topics covered in the Basic Combatives portion will include, but are not limited to, Entry Training from Reference Points and Striking Tactics and Targeting for Street Defense. 1200-1400 Lunch Break There are a few restaurants here in West End and if one drives 15 or 20 minutes into Pinehurst/Aberdeen/Southern Pines there is considerably more than a few there. We figure we'll give ample time to cover a 40 minute round trip, a decent amount of time to sit and eat, plus a few minutes to ask questions, prep gear, and/or network. 1400-1600 Third Party Security Training Lead Instructor: Kenny Smith, Chief Master Instructor Deputy Instructor(s): Jason Landaas, Chief Master Instructor Topics for Third-Party Security include, but are not limited to, Prepositioning, Drawing While Shielding, and Movement From Line Of Fire.
